A Day in Paradise: Horseback Riding Tour and West Bay Beach

Stepping off the cruise ship and into Roatan, the time you will get to spend there is limited. What do you do first? You want to explore but also want to see as much as possible. That’s where Charlie’s Roatan Tours can help; we provide extensive tours in a lot of different forms. If you want to make the most of your time, we are here to show you as much as we can in the time you have. One of our longest and extensive tours is the horseback riding tour. Get off your feet and experience the island on horseback. Sounds like paradise, doesn’t it?

If you’re looking for a unique and unforgettable day trip while in Roatan, look no further than a horseback riding tour to the West Bay. You’ll enjoy picturesque views of the jungles and beaches as you ride, and after your ride, you’ll have plenty of time to relax on one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. So experience a day in paradise with us!

Where Does The Tour Go?

The tour begins by riding through the jungle, into the shallow water, and ending at the “Roatan” sign. The horseback riding tour is over five hours long and a perfect day on the island. Once you reach your destination, you have the option to either rest and relax or join in on one of the many activities such as snorkeling, kayaking, or a glass-bottom boat tour.

What Should I Bring?

We recommend that you wear comfortable clothes and shoes, sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, insect repellent, a towel, and your camera! And don’t forget your sense of adventure! Snacks and water are also great to have with you as the tour is longer and children may begin to get hungry and everyone should stay hydrated.

Why A Horseback Riding Tour?

Horseback riding is a great way to see the island and it’s a perfect activity for all ages. Kids will be overjoyed and amazed at the opportunity to ride a horse and explore the island. Plus, those traveling with children find that horseback riding tours are much easier on their families since there is less walking and more entertainment involved for the children.

In addition to riding a horse, you will also have the opportunity to see other forms of wildlife such as iguanas, birds, and other native animals, without disturbing them as they will be less likely to be bothered by horses.

What Should You Choose Once Arriving at West Bay Beach?

Snorkeling

A snorkeling tour is one of the most popular activities on West Bay Beach and for a good reason! The water is calm and provides stunning views of coral reefs, bright fish, and other sea creatures. This activity is perfect for all ages as it can be enjoyed at a slow pace or with more excitement by swimming around and exploring the different areas.

Kayaking

Another great option for exploring the area is kayaking! This activity is perfect for those who want to get a workout in while still enjoying the beautiful scenery. There are many different places to kayak around West Bay Beach, so you can explore as much or as little as you’d like.

Glass-Bottom Boat Trip

After a hot day under the sun, step into the sea–or rather, step on it. Riding a horse may be a lot of exercise for a horse but the activity itself is tiring due to the time spent riding and under the sun. If you’re looking for a more relaxing activity, consider taking a glass-bottom boat trip! This is a great way to see the reefs and fish without getting wet. The boat will take you on a tour of the area and provide information about the different sights.
